Practice
Each work of art has a voice, it speaks to each of us in unique ways. Exhibitions and Public Art bring creative voices together to present a beautiful, visual symphony.
Seeing Beyond/ Sensory Garden
This sculpture is sited at the entrance to the Elsie McCarthy Sensory Garden for the Visually Impaired in Glendale Arizona. The artwork invites interaction through tactile and sensory experiences so vital to a visually impaired person. Sound and touch are introduced through a gentle interior waterfall.
Handmade tiles with shapes and themes referencing earth, water, sky, nature and fire are set in contrasting colors within a white tile background. The central carved sandstone discs invite the visitor to reach their hand inside to feel the water. As a public park, all ages are invited to enjoy the wide variety of aromatic plant material and textural walkways.
