Southwestern Invitational, Phoenix Airport Museum Traveling Show – 2016
The Southwestern Invitational is an annual exhibition of contemporary art that started in 1966 in Yuma, Arizona. Eventually the yearly show was travelled around the state by the Arizona Commission on the Arts so other communities could share in the experience.
This Exhibition presents artworks in a diverse range of styles & a wide variety of media created by artists living in 16 different Arizona cities. This event is designed to celebrate Arizona’s visual arts. “Out of the 100 pieces selected, half were chosen to travel to five venues around the state. Blue Landscape was one of those pieces selected to travel. The final venue was The Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport Museum space.
